NORMAL SADDLE PAD
Hose pad with water after every use (or whenever it becomes sweaty/dirty). Machine wash when needed, on a gentle cycle using cold water and a mild liquid detergent.
Hang outside to dry, ensuring it is kept out of direct sunlight, as colours may fade. Do not tumble dry.
SADDLE PAD WITH SHEEPSKIN
It is not recommended to machine wash in a top loader washing machine as the agitator can potentially catch on the sheepskin and tear the fibres when wet.
It is recommended to either use a front loader washing machine on a gentle/cold water cycle, using a mild liquid wool-approved detergent OR hand wash, using cold water and a wool-friendly detergent.
When hand washing, ensure all detergent has been rinsed out of the sheepskin. Hang outside to dry.
For saddle pads being used daily, hose the cotton section after use and brush the fleece section once dry. Never tumble dry, and do not leave in direct sunlight as colours may fade.
